Cooperative Systems Workshop and Product Launch Event 2008

Science and Technology Park Adlershof

Berlin, Germany

10-11 December 2008

This two-day Workshop took place in Berlin, Germany, at DLR test site for demonstrations of the CVIS universal reference platform.

Indeed, CVIS has achieved an important milestone - the development and beta testing of its Europe’s first universal platform for vehicle-to-infrastructure communication and services. This multi-purpose open platform provides multiple communication interfaces, precise positioning and software support for V2V and V2I cooperative systems, and can be installed in both vehicles and roadside units. As well as being well suited for those who need a flexible architecture designed for easy application development, the platform delivers always-on connectivity and meter-level positioning.

At the occasion of this Product Launch event, the CVIS team was pleased to offer their reference platform for use by other projects and cooperative system trials. Participants were able to gain hands-on experience during some static and mobile demonstrations featuring the first implementations of CVIS technology and applications.

In addition, the conference programme included presentations about results from CVIS, national and other European FP6/7 projects in the area of cooperative systems. You may download these hereunder.
